A fantastic visit had by a few distinguished B3 guests from January 21 through January 26, 2006. This update is more visual than informational. Three general areas are presented:

Projects: Community Center Completion
The construction of a model home has been tabled for the moment. Project power and budget will focus on completion of the community center and on work inside and outside of Cave Number 1.

Accommodations: Temporary Camp
After a thorough review of temporary structures from small cabins to tents and hotel accommodations in San Cristobal, large tents have won out. Euerka Extended Stay 8-person tents for their overall size (266 m2), durability, and the distinct feature that they have a screen room separate from the sleeping area. Area located next to park office as indicated in Dec 8 update appears to still be the best option. Current plans are to level foundation and fence in with either chain link fence (first option) or acacia trees with barbed wire (second option). Shower facilities will be constructed; two on either side of park office, adjacent to wash basin rooms.

Dining Area: Modification of Existing Structures
No change from DEC 8 update, but many more photos of area. Plan still calls for re-thatching slab concrete floor area, remodeling bar into a secure kitchen facility, and cleaning up cock fighting wring for sheltered meeting room.
