Do you want someone else to do all this legwork for you so you can just show up and have it all happen? Richard Weber... can make your dream wedding happen in the tropics. Dream big; it’s okay. Richard is a miracle worker who uses all his Dominican Republic knowledge and contacts to get the job done so you can have all of the memories but none of the headaches. Richard is equal to any project we throw at him, delivers a top quality product every time and has quickly become one of our most trusted and valued partners. I would define our experiences with Rich and 4T as completely "stress free." The amount of preparation and execution of the itinerary was incredible. From the time they picked us up at the airport, to the transportation, meals, hotels and tours...everything was done at such a high rate of excellence, that our group did not have a care in the world...just what a trip to the DR should be!!! Richard and crew provide for an Extraordinary experience. They are quality professional accommodating miracle workers. Their meticulous attention to detail had us, the hosts of two events, feel like guests. As amateur event planners and mother and father of the groom it was a privilege to work with the crew.
We thank you and recommend that you include the title Wedding Planner somewhere in your website. You are truly EXTRAORDINARY in every way. Thank you for a wonderful "Welcome Party" and "Rehearsal Dinner" at our "Hidden Splendor" wedding for Alex and Nadia in December. Thanks for all of your great work on this group! I heard they "loved" you! Working with your gave me so much piece of mind because you answered all my questions and thought of many things that were not on my radar. I could rely on your knowledge, contacts and the abilities gained over many years of working in Cabarete. It was such a pleasure to have you as a resource person, to make sure that Summer's wedding and reception went along smoothly. I am so glad that you suggested the tropical Bird of Paradise for the wedding. The splash of color was just the touch that was needed. So many people commented on how beautiful the flowers were. You made sure that we ran though mentally, minute by minute, the events of the day and then ran through everything beforehand in rehearsals. Your suggestions of having some key friends to help direct people and answer questions, placement of the guest book and PA equipment, servers for the drinks, was oh, so helpful. I would use you again in a heartbeat and you were worth your weight in gold. Richard Weber and his staff at 4-T helped us translate our vision of our dream wedding into a reality. From our initial meeting we found them to be the most organized planners we had met - and at that point we had met quite a few. Most impressive was that their number 1 concern was ensuring that we fulfilled the vision for our wedding whether or not they were involved. They delivered 110% on their promises allowing us and our guests to enjoy the greatest wedding we've ever experienced. We invite anyone to top it! Planning your destination wedding can have its challenges, mostly because you are not local and give up a level of control versus planning a traditional wedding. Richard and his 4-T staff served as our advocates (our voice) and executed with incredible competence. Throughout our planning process Richard and his 4-T staff were highly accessible and responsive to all of our requests and needs - no matter how wild. They even helped us come up with creative ideas to stay within our budget while maximizing our experience - from the location, flowers, wedding transport, etc. We could not have dreamed of a better, more memorable day. ~Alex & Nadia Sutton, New Brunswick, New Jersey Before I start bombarding you with emails and questions about our upcoming projects, I wanted to thank
you again for all your efforts in making this second Teachers' Tour a fun and meaningful experience for all
involved. You are a great person to work with. I feel very fortunate that I stumbled upon your website and
that you were willing to help me to put together the kind of tour that I envisioned from my classroom in
NJ. Now having done this twice, and experiencing the highs and lows, I have a strong feeling that I know
how how to make #3 the best yet. Our Dominican Wedding was …perfect. And we have 4T to thank for having every possible hiccup avoided, every bump smoothed out and doing it all with wit and grace. I’m sure every couple gushes about their big day, but truly this was something special.
We had 70 (!) of our closest family and friends make the journey from England and Canada so we wanted to have a few other organized events to hang out and have everyone get to know each other. 4T helped (read: did everything) plan not only our wedding day, but 2 other events. A river ride down to la Boca with a beach Bar-B-Q, music, amazing food and Coconut rum drinks abounding. We also had a ‘Dominican night’ for our rehearsal party at this great little place in the Callejon: again music, food and drinks made for a really good time. Our guests are still raving about it all….. again, a testament to Richard and his crew’s hard work. And the wedding day itself was ….perfect. We wouldn’t have changed a single thing.
Would I recommend a Dominican Wedding? Absolutely. Would I recommend 4T to help? It couldn’t have happened any other way. Wow!! what a tremendous trip, I want to thank Poco Pelo (Rich) and V, Moreno, Carolina and Jon for all you did for us while in DR. Folks we could not have done it all without you all. I can’t wait to do it again, bigger and better next year...I wanted to take a quick moment to express my sincerest appreciation for all the work and all we accomplished on our mission to the Dream Project, once again it was a life changing episode in my life and I have all of you to thank. Together we can change the world one person at a time. Boy did we luck out when we were introduced to Richard this past February in Cabarete. My husband and I were frantically making final arrangements for our wedding in April when we realized that we needed help. A friend introduced us to Richard and he truly saved our wedding. From the beginning, Richard was incredibly professional. He was highly organized and efficient. He knew the right questions to ask and made things happen for us. His rates were affordable and most importantly, I felt as if I could trust him to make the right decisions when I needed them to be made without me. The week of the wedding, Richard entered the dynamics of two families blending for the first time and created a sense of stability with his innate talent for making people feel comfortable. He managed all of the details with ease and precision. His expertise in all things Dominican ensured an authentic, beautiful and trustworthy experience in Cabarete. We were definitely put at ease knowing Richard was in charge and our families are forever grateful. Both reasonable and professional, 4T is the best outfitter I have ever worked with. Prior to our trip they paid attention to our particular goals, fashioned several itineraries for us to consider, and fine-tuned the final result. Even after we were under way, the 4T leadership was resourceful and flexible in making adjustments and solving problems day-by-day. 4T knows the Dominican Republic intimately and has a wealth of experiential resources at its finger tips. I'd work with them again without question, and I would recommend them without hesitation. I will do my best to put into words how professional, informative, friendly and fun to work with you are. Let me think on it and write something absolutely appropriate without sounding to gushy.
That being said. I am proud and privileged to have met you and have worked with you. I thank you for putting up with me, I am very pleased with your service and your product.
Thanks again. (In a letter to her travel agent) Richard's outfit handled personal transports from a variety of flight arrivals over a two day period …oriented our group superbly to cultural conditions…had us on a luxurious air conditioned bus…with an intrepid driver who handled incredibly challenging road conditions…set up a camp site for us…with large un-crowded quality tents directly on the beach under palm trees…set up latrines and outdoor shower tents that made this non-camper quite comfortable. With no water service, he had water trucked into a central tank and set up a tap system for washing stations; for drinking he provided abundant 5 gal. water jugs at an easily used water station…staffed our camp with 4 Dominicans, including a superb chef who delighted us with ample and delectable meals prepared on site 3 times daily, security guard, and "MacGyver" problem-solver extraordinaire… managed to insert a critical care RN with Wilderness EMT certification, Jay Jewett, into our troop with complete medical bag and medivac capability…Richard Weber even handles acts of God with quiet aplomb: a freak storm with gale force winds and torrential rains lasting several days wiped out our tents initially, but Richard immediately secured access for us to camp out in a covered building by the campsite until tents could be re-established. I was a challenge to Richard in other ways: I require electric service for a medically necessary CPAP breathing device while sleeping-- Richard made sure I had access to his solar generated electric service on site to recharge my portable battery, just one of many little curve balls he handled smoothly....Forgive me for going on at such length, but I was incredibly impressed with 4T and thought you should know about them for your clients. Richard Weber is a guy worth knowing about: intelligent, resourceful, energetic, reliable, handling every aspect of trip with such quiet finesse that I'm sure most folks are unaware of just how much hustle goes into his services. If you ever need additional referrals on him, I'd be pleased to put you in touch with the architects who contracted with him for our trip. Rich and his company 4T Domrep, were amazing!!!! If you need something done in Dominican, this is man to do it!!!! He has the connections and for a 3rd world country where things are seldom done on time, this was not the case. He organized part of my wedding, the ceremony, and the pre-rehearsal dinner. For starters he did a lot of legwork from taking photos of potential sites for the wedding to booking the judge to dealing with my father over a lot of specific requests, allergies and vegans. And in the process of organizing all this he became a father and still continued to honour his word of organizing our wedding. My father’s rehearsal dinner was fantastic and I am quite picky about food. The function was what I would expect from a high-end restaurant in Canada. People are still talking about the coconut shrimp and what was in the sauce? Yummy! Go for the bar tender if asked, I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Rich’s recommendations made everything go smoother and couldn’t have asked for a better person to deal with. We had a tropical storm creep up on us the morning of the wedding and Rich went above and beyond what was expected. First of all, I had vetoed the tent, with out hesitation he called us that morning and we had two tents set up and in place that day for the wedding, what a lifesaver! I don’t think that could have been possible in Canada never mind the Dominican. Also Rich had organized a family trip to Sosua to visit the Jewish community, kind of an historical tour. He arranged an air-conditioned bus and a fantastic Dominican meal. It was a nice alternative to the beach atmosphere. I actually had a couple tears at Edith’s speech of how her family came to the Dominican and their struggle, what a moving experience. Our many thanks to Richard for his creative ideas and help with organizing our wedding. Even though we have spent 15 years on and off in Cabarete we could not have pulled off our 80 person event without him! Rich was able to help organize everything from catering, party rentals, transportation to DJs. He was always in “ the know” and could make things happen with just a phone call. His outgoing personality, humor and professionalism made him a pleasure to work with!!! Thanks again for making our wedding truly the best day of our lives! Thanks for all the wonderful photos. I can't thank Kevin enough for the wonderful experience. Also the website is awesome...Again thank you Kevin and to all of you for making this experience so memorable. As we prepare to return to school I know you will all take our experience and look at things from a new perspective. Kevin, I have shared your website with family and friends and can't thank you enough for the beautiful writing that documented our journey. Thank you
for all the hard work you put in to organizing that tour (Teachers' Social Justice Tour). I had a wonderful
time. It was a very powerful tour and one that I am really unable to Just a quick note to say thankyou for the helicopter transfers to & from Punta Cana last week. It was absolutely fabulous and sooo worth it. It's an amazing place and that trip was fantastic. I was a little nervous on arrival but I have to say the pilot was fantastic.
Such a smooth ride! My husband was delighted, as it was a surprise! We will definitely be back .....what a wonderful service !!! Thanks again. Thank you once again for the wonderful - professional service you provided for our Medical Team of 118 people. Logistics of transporting this many throughout the country can be challenging - however no one whould believe that watching you and your staff as they took care of our team! You made it look so easy! All of your staff were friendly and a joy to be with. The service was perfect! We look forward to joining hands with you next year as we bring Help, Hope and Healing to hurting humanity in the Dominican Republic! In July of 2006 I had the huge task of producing a
photo shoot to run in every edition of Maxim around
the world. We had to shoot 27 models from 27 different countries across a 2 week period. Each shoot had to look different and I could only travel within an hour radius of our hotel. This could have been a total nightmare especially as I had limited resources and spoke no Spanish! Richard Weber made the trip not only go like clock work but great fun. He thought of everything we might need, negotiated with the locals and generally made the experience wonderful. Not only did we create some great pictures my entire crew had an amazing time. I can without reservation completely recommend Richard and his team. I just wanted to send a big thank you from all of us at ISS. The kids and the adults had a marvelous time and I haven't heard anything but positive comments. You guys did a really great job. Take care and thanks again. We had a fabulous time with Jose last week! Thank you so much, the entire day was great. Jose was a very good guide and very accommodating. The highlights had to be the plantation visit (although at first we were hesitant about following the guide with the machete into the jungle) and also visiting the school to give out the supplies we brought. It was wonderful to see so much of your beautiful country in one day. Thank you again, we had a great time. Richard Weber of 4T was hired to help location scout and coordinate a photo shoot in northern Dominican Republic. Richard was instrumental in helping us to achieve the shots we needed in various locations from villages to secluded beaches. He is organized, efficient, extremely knowledgeable about the island and has an excellent rapport with Dominicans. The experience in DR was asombroso thanks to 4T! Thank you sooooo much
for a wonderful outing. We had a fenomenal experience, thanks to you.
We had Tuesday off, and Wednesday the kids spent all day working on their
projects. Everyone was just gushing about our trip, sharing pictures and
stories. We all miss being in the DR, and a few kids have told me they
miss you, that you are one of the coolest people they know. I happen to
agree. It was cool that you gave them each personal advice. I think they
respect your opinions and I hope they will reflect on what you said. In March 2005, Maxim
Magazine produced a wakeboarding fashion photo shoot in the Dominican
Republic with the help of Mr. Richard Weber. His absolute professionalism
and extensive knowledge of the area proved to be an amazing resource for
the magazine. He and his services come highly recommended. Muchas felicidades. Los extrañaré a todos. I want to thank you
for your help today. I was really scared and uncertain about what to do
about losing my tooth, but the dentist you referred me to was very helpful.
He did a root canal procedure and set me up for more work at home. You
have been terrific over the past couple of days. You are clearly someone
who is in love with this country and its people, and that makes you a
great guide. I look forward to referring people to you, and to seeing
you again. Hey Rich a huge thank
you to you and your team for being a critical part of making our wedding
a huge success. Your many suggestions of activities were much appreciated.
And your ability to change directions in a few hours when the weather
made the river trip impossible was impressive. Clearly only somebody with
intimate knowledge of the North Coast would be able to hook us up with
such a great event so quickly. Half of our wedding party are thinking
of settling in the DR because of the way you showcased it. In July 2005, Absolute
launched its first annual Hero Holiday by bringing 120 students and leaders
to Sosua, Dominican Republic to participate in a humanitarian relief project...We
brought thousands of gifts for the poor, fed people hot meals at the Puerto
Plata dump, dug a trench 2 km long to provide fresh water to a village
and helped build houses for homeless families. It was in the early planning
stages of Hero Holiday that we met Richard Weber and 4T. Richard has proven
invaluable to us both in the planning and implementation of Hero Holiday.
His perspective as a North American living in the Dominican was very helpful,
as he understood both cultures extremely well...Richard and the 4T team
were great to work with during our project. Our group fell in love with
4T. The services provided (insurance coverage, airport shuttles, leisure
activities) were all carried out with professionalism and excellence yet
there was no lack of fun and laughter. We knew we were in good hands whether
it was relaxing on a catamaran or jumping off a waterfall. Richard was
willing to accommodate our individual needs and wasn't tied to a set 4T
protocol. Each activity was custom-designed...I fully recommend 4T for
anyone looking to bring a team to the Dominican Republic, whether work-related
or simply to have fun. 4T helped make Hero Holiday a success and I am
confident this relationship will continue in the years to come. We had occasion to
contract with Rich Weber, 4T (Tours, Trips, Trek, and Travel), in The
Dominican Republic in 2004. Planning and logistics preparations began
in late 2003 to bring 100 B3s in February, 50 B3s in March, and 100 B3s
in April to the D.R....Because of our numbers of high school students
(ages 14-17) and because each group works in a different part of our host
country, the planning and logistics preparations present unique challenges.
Rich Weber was, to put it simply, just amazing! He knew exactly what kinds
of excursions would be appropriate AND fun for adventurous teenagers;
he was always there to supervise the safety of the kids; he was somehow
able to remember the name of each kid; his sense of humor was key to his
relationships with them; he always had an alternative in mind if some-thing
happened to make an excursion not possible; he was open and forthcoming
with the adults; he was always on top of the expenses. Thanks for taking
us on the hike in Choco. It was exceptional. Many, many thanks
for all your work, you've done a great job. Thanks so much! Thanks for the info!
Will be in touch! I hope all is well.
It was a treat having you guide us through the DR. The slide show looks
great. We must meet up next trip to the DR. Take care. P.S. How did you
get so organized? Wow, I want to let
you know how impressed I am by your website, what you did with the photos
of our trip, and by your businiss in general. Watching that slideshow
took me back immediately to the Dominican- a week is unfortunately plenty
of time for me to get frozen to the bone and to temporarily forget carribean
travel (of course it'll be in my soul for ever though). Thanks for your
real dedication to what you do. I had an amazing time in the Dominican
Republic. See you again some day... Great night. Everyone
had a great time. Thanks for your help. Adolpho, in a word
(or two) was EVERYTHING we could have hoped for in a translator/tour guide/friend,
ect. He was always there with a smile and flexible when we had to change
plans. He truly became part of our group and the kids, advisors, the workers
at the site, even Franklin, and of course Tony and I were so glad to have
him with us. His work ethic and sense of humor sets him apart. He and
Luis and our driver managed to form a unique working relationship and
friendship that was evident to all as well. Adolpho has a personality
that is well suited to this role and he did a great job of anticipating
our needs and responding. He was cautious at Jimenoa with the kids and
that was fine with me. I felt he was honest and was tremendous with the
kids. Our safety and enjoyment was most important to him (this was evidenced
on our mid-week beach excursion-we ended up at Boca Chica and he really
looked out for all as I was at the airport sending one of the kids home).
I felt that I could ask him to help with just about everything (and I
did) but we tried to not take advantage as well. There are so many examples
of Adolpho's natural instinct for groups, but I think you get the general
idea. We would use him again in a heartbeat. We miss his smile. I went on the trip
last fall and it was fabulous! What made our trip awesome (particularly
for the leaders) is that we had a phenomenal tour guide, Richard (Rich)
Weber. He made everything so easy for us by organizing everything from
caving, to dinner cooked by a local chef in our condos
.to accommodation
and transportation and a photographer. Our group even got $$ back! He
is also young and fun and went out with us to most of our events
..If
you have any questions or need to talk to me about anything, let me know!
I am happy to discuss more on how he made the trip so great for us. Rich
is really busy and is in high demand planning trips for other school groups
as well so you need to get in touch with him fast! We had a great time
in DR and have some friends traveling to Santiago on business. We wanted
to give them your info just in case they has any questions. They are planning
to come to Caberete for a weekend and we thought youd be an excellent
resource. First a big thanks
goes out to...Rich Weber for coordinating a seamless trip with awesome
accommodations, adventures and advice... My stay in the dominican was beyond imaginable.
The resort was impecable, the guides and other travel personelle were
warm and welcoming, the food was delicious and the trips were wild. I
felt like a criminal forking over my meager payment...I'm sure my backup option
of going to cancun ($1500) would be nowhere near the experience and would
leave me beyond empty pocketed. Everything was amazing.
I couldn't have had a better vacation. I didn't know what to expect when
I got there but to my suprise it was everything I thought times 10. Everything
was so relaxing. As far as night life, its very social. Its not a huge
party atmosphere so if people are looking for that, send them to Cancun
or something. But I thouroughly enjoyed the nightlife because I dont look
to get all out drunk and such. The music was ehhhh at the clubs. I wouldve
liked for them to play a little more dance music. Rather than rap remixes.
What I thought was amazing is our resort. It really was perfect. We didn't
have anything given to us. If we wanted something, it was up to us to
get it which gave us some responsibility which is always good. Anyway,
the trip was absolutely amazing. I would really love to come back sometime
soon. I will get some friends together and look into it. O the food was
superb as well. Windsurf Resort ROCKED!!!!! and the Sandras Cafeteria
was amazing. Thanks again I am proud of you.
I am proud of the work you do for yourself and the students and the D.R.
and everybody else. We thoroughly enjoyed
each trip in which we participated and every night we went out. You I would also like
to appreciate your including us in the activities. We had a great time
in DR, and as for me, I certainly plan to go back sometime in the future
(hopefully soon). I just wanted to thank
you for running the best trip I have ever been on. I got to see a country
in a way I might not have ever seen it. All of the excursions great too.
I have never tried surfing or cascading before, and it was awesome to
try them for the first time in such a beautiful place. I think about going
back down there everyday, especially when I have to put on my winter jacket.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you and tell you to keep in touch. I hope
that we get the opportunity to come down again. Enjoy the warm weather. Well I have to admit...going
on spring break with ur roomate and his girlfriend didnt sound like the
best idea at first....but little did I know it was going to be the best
spring break Ive had in four years of college. Villa Chez was amazing!
The cascading and hike in the national park were I just wanted to say
how incredible this trip was for me. I had an amazing time and i really
got to see another way of living. the cascading and horseback riding went
so well. and the villas we stayed at were so nice i was not expecting
that. i was expecting a hotel feeling but the house helped me not feel
too home sick. i liked this spriong break rip better than others i have
bene on simply for the fact that everything was planned out and we had
stuff to do everyday. we got to experience so much more than anyone else
who went to acapulco or cabo and im so greatful you got to spend it with
us. thatnk you so much and good luck with your wedding!! :) I just wanted to thank
you for planning and executing such an amazing trip. I had a great time
and I feel like I got to see a part of the island and the country that
I would have missed having gone to the DR on my own. I know we all miss
the villas and the beach and the sun--- thanks again for making it happen!
I can't wait to go back (yeah, that's right I'm already trying to figure
out a way to come BACK there)! The trip to DR was
one of my most adventurous trips i have ever been to. I have visited 6
countries, but my experience in this trip is unmatched. It was a pleasure
to be in DR with all the hospitality and fun. Well organized trip and
a success describe this trip good job! Thanks for helping
us have an awesome trip to the DR. I miss it, especially the beautiful
house we stayed in. It was a lot of fun and the best way i could have
spent those 10 days. Hope all is well with you! I just wanted to say
that this trip was definitely one of the highlights of college, and it
was definitely in a huge way thanks to you and your company. Everything
was perfect. Beautiful scenery, amazing houses, great people, cool staff,
great nightlife, DR weather (need I say more??). It was also really awesome
that you were able to come chill out with us when we weren't actually
on an excursion or whatever. Definitely fun to have your tour group leader
coming out and partying on the trip, specially cuz you knew the hot spots
to go. I dug that Villa Dawn got that private tour of Blue Moon etc, too.
That was a great side trip. It was a real eye-opener to see the other
side of the DR. Another thing, the canyoneering was by far my favorite
trip - you've gotta do me a favor and thank mike for me. He was so laid-back
and yet he just knew his shit cold. Not that i didn't enjoy the cascading
trip, but it seemed like the guides were a bit too in-your-face for my
liking. (it could also have been the badass hike we hadda do outta the
canyoneering that made it more enjoyable for me.) i also wanted to thank
you for recommending outward bound, which sounds awesome, and i was wondering
if you had any other suggestions for stuff that i could do to help me
figure out some kinda direction (career or otherwise) cuz you definitely
have a different perspective, having taken the alternative route to success. I just wanted to thank
you again for an AWESOME time in the DR. I had the best time ever, and
I cannot wait to come back again. I almost cried when the plane took off
on Sunday. The whole experience got me thinking about doing non-profit
work down there after I graduate. I dont speak much Spanish, so
that could be a problem I guess. Im sure I will be able to work
something out after I look into it more. I am attaching two pictures,
so hopefully they will go through. Anyway, thank you so much again, and
I hope everything is going well down there. This is Dora...one
of the Croatian girls. It was so great to hear from you! How are you?
I hope everything is going well. The pictures literally took my breath
away...it made me miss the Dominican Republic so much. It was so sad leaving
and even worse when I returned to my daily routine of running from one
thing to another, exams, papers, and the COLD. The weeks have become even
crazier now that I have been interviewing for jobs. However, everything
has been going well and I have been blessed with a couple good opportunities.
I am also staying motivated by the idea that I am going to be in Croatia
in June! Thanks so much for everything! The trip was so special. Everything
was planned out so well, the people were so kind and helpful, and the
activities were tailored around some of the most beautiful places and
exciting things to do. Please send my hello to everybody. We loved the place
you picked out for us! Thank you so much! I loved the DR ... people were
amazing! I hope to make it back there at some point. I really miss it.
Again, thank you for your help! If you are ever in Michigan, please do
not hesitate to contact me. |
